Be careful what you wish for. What if we had received our wish last year? We just have to wish that everything turns out for the best. That may or may not be the number 1 pick.

Last year I was actually glad not to get Number 1 because I don't like Blake Griffin on our team. If we had gotten #1 and drafted him, we would have repeated with the worst record - whether he played or not.

We would still have Martin, no Landry, no Evans... I don't see an undersized PF with a suspect outside J being the answer for the Kings' big man needs.

This year I want Wall. I think that he and Evans together can attract a FA like David Lee.

It's almost time... fingers crossed

Yup.  5 in a 4 player draft.  Did the Warriors leap us?

All we can hope is that Minnesota does not need another big man and drafts someone else allowing Cousins to drop to us.

Chad Ford has the wolves taking Wesley in his mock preview. Favors or Cousins need to drop !

with all this John Wall mania over, now Petrie can relax and adress our real need...there is going to be some very good bigs around at #5.
We have tried small ball, it didnt work, now imagine a legit big along side of Tyreke, thats going to cause alot more problems for opposing teams.imo

The list goes on,which legit big will be there at #5,we can knock ourselves out going over it...

The only way a legit big will be there at the #5 pick is if Favors or Cousins drops out of the top 4. The rest of the bigs all have question marks attached to them.

Even the top 2 bigs - Favors and Cousins - have question marks behind them. Favors is lacking in offensive moves (relies on athleticism) and worse, can disappear for long stretches in a game. Cousins is just plain immature, to the point of being a possible head-case.

I wonder if Petrie will trade down for one of the other, lower-rated big guys.

If we do keep the pick, I think it's fortunate that the T-Wolves pick ahead of us because they have Love and Jefferson - especially if the Nets take Favors. Cousins and Jefferson are very similar. Johnson would fit much better on their team.

5 sucks... but 6 would've sucked worse. There is a "consensus" top 5 in the draft - not 6. 5 means we get either Favors, Cousins or Johnson - depending on the strategy of the teams before us. The Nets have a solid center in Lopez (hate to say it, but it's true), maybe they will take Johnson. Maybe there will be another Thabeet-type pick.

I have a feeling we will be picking Cousins. And I think the Kings/Paul Westphal will be able to help him mature. But if Wesley Johnson is the guy, then I welcome the addition of a high-flyer to the team.

The media seemed to put Cousins there immediately after the season ended, but has now put Favors at 3rd best.

I think in terms of production next year, Wesley Johnson will have greater impact on his team that the top 2 bigs. So to me, that makes Johnson the 3rd best player.

Disappointing. But Petrie knows what he's doing.

With New Jersey (B.Lopez) and Minnesota (Love/Al Jeffy) ahead of us, it's conceivable Cousins could fall. I'm not a huge fan by any means, but at #5, it wouldn't be so hard to swallow.

I'm high on Ekpe Udoh from Baylor. 6'10" with a 7'4" wing span. Smart offensive player and shot blocking machine. Still developing but very impressive.
