John...I like ya buddy but you are being an unrealistic hater.  Sure, there was too much hoopla surrounding the whole 'where is LBJ going' but the media sensationalized that (not to mention the proceeds went to the boys and girls club of America, a real classy move even if you won't acknowledge it).  The bottom line is LBJ couldn't sign a contract until Thursday and he took a long time to make up his mind.  His heart was in Cleveland but they didn't do sh!t to put a team around him.  Just watch how good they'll be next year, HA.

LBJ went to play where he felt he had the best chance to win, and not to mention he gets to play with 2 good buddies (who he knows won't bang his mom).  What the FUKK did Cle do to put good players around him?  A hurt Jamison was the best they could do?  An older than piss Shaq who is not even a shadow of his former self, more like a raisin of his former self.  Broken down Z?  Verajao?  PATHETIC.  Finally getting a good coach after SEVEN seasons of mediocre moves does not cut it.

Let me put it this way.  Would the Maloofs and Geoff Petrie have surrounded LBJ with that mediocre a cast, or would we have drafted/traded for/signed some quality to put around him, something that meshed much better than anything they ever put on that court?  You bet your ass they would have.  Quit blaming LBJ man.  Grow up on this issue.  It ain't him, he's just thinking about his future and how he doesn't wanna be another Malone/Barkley.  Give it a rest.

"give it a rest"? lol I haven't said anything about it for three days. But you and I have a different value set on this that's all.

I honestly do not think Lebron can ever be as great as Kobe now... and I think that's why I reacted emotionally. I wanted Lebron to eclipse Kobe. But he ran and hid behind Wade's skirt instead.

I don't see any redeeming quality in Lebron's decision or the way he presented it, sorry. Lets just agree to disagree. I'm glad guys are banging his ma... I wish him every bad luck - to me he is a sorry case of unfulfilled potential. Like a guy said on the radio today - he gave up his throne for a high chair.

And why are you trying to re-write history sympathetic to Lebron? Stephen A Smith broke the story that the three guys were going to the Heat several days earlier - Lebron wasn't agonizing he was gloating, the c*cksvkker. And Lebron did not call the Cav's management and let them in on it? Fiasco.

By the way as far as I'm concerned Malone gave up his soul too when he went ring chasing with the Lakers.

I love all my brothers and sisters on sackings.com and I hope my feeling about Lebron won't make things weird the next time we break bread together.

Positive John

I could care less about the Miami Thrice, I almost want to jokingly call them the Miami attention whores.

Wade should have never let Lebron join him. Trust me, this will be a funny case of subtraction by addition in more ways than one. And most of us might be laughing about it once the season starts.

LeBron didn't handle it the way that I would have liked him to. It really wasn't handled with much class or any thought of anything but his ego and enterprise. He missed the mark bigtime as using it as an effective marketing campain, it worked against his brand, IMO.

But with that said, he is still less at fault than the Cleveland Cavs organization. That organization didn't earn his decision to stay in that god for saken place. Danny Ferry and Dan Gilbet effed that situation up so badly, that it would be years before they could free up the cap space neede to make that team into what he deserves to play with.

"He's unstoppable and has been commanding double teams." aka on Bynum's beastly 10 and 10 avg.

It seems that the LeBron-haters are like many of the "mainstream fans" out there - they want it to be about one guy versus another. They want player recognition, not team.

LeBron is a team player. That is unquestionable. Earlier in his career he was criticized for not shooting enough.

Setting aside his "antics" off the court that make him out to a "me-me-me" type guy - LeBron has consistenly shown a tendency to remain a team player... the type of guy that wants to be part of the greatest team ever - and not necessarily the greatest player ever.

I do not hold that against him... rather, I admire it. In today's me-me-me society, LeBron has taken a different route. Some would say that it was a "cowardly/pu*ssy/non-competitive route - but I disagree. No matter how much the NBA promotes it's individuals, basketball is a team sport.

After 7 years, it was apparent that Cleveland would have a very difficult time getting over the hump. It was not for lack of trying - but still, the playoffs have exposed the Cavs weaknesses the last 2 years, after they got the best record in the regular season. In short, they peaked, and it was not enough.

Just because LeBron is a great player doesn't mean he's obligated to stay in his home town. Did anyone get mad when Yogi Stewart went to Toronto? Not signing Matt Barnes make anyone angry?

As a big Kings fan, I am glad that there is a team that has more starpower than those da*mn Lakers. I would hate to see those fu*cks 3-peat... Anybody but the Lakers - that's my motto for the playoffs.

Don't forget that Kobe played with Shaq early in his career, and now Gasol.  Who of note has LBJ played with?
