Sign-and-trade Brockman to Milwaukee for Darnell Jackson and future 2nd rounder.

Jackson doesn't have a fully guaranteed deal, so I'd guess he is cut before the season starts.

Hate to see Brock go. Obviously it was a numbers game and we have a lot of frontcourt depth now. But I could really see Brockman developing a more well-rounded game. His offense has potential and his rebounding was some of the best in the NBA.

I wish him the best.

I don't see where this is going because we only have 10 players signed. This might not be a salary dump. Any one knows what Darnell Jackson can do?

Jon Brockman was a free agent, so if we wanted to save his salary, we just wouldn't sign him.

We are short players, but not up front. I'd guess Jackson gets a chance to tryout in training camp, but with Dalembert-Cousins-Whiteside-Landry-Thompson at the 4/5, it doesn't seem likely he makes the squad.

I think it was just a chance to get a 2nd rounder to replace Brockman, our 2nd rounder last year. If Milwaukee signed him outright, we could have threatened to match. By agreeing to a cheap sign-and-trade, the Bucks know he is theirs.

So,we ship the last of the Huskies out,at least we dont have to see Hawes wear that ugly ass Sonics jersey anymore,he can go do that with the Sixers.

Totaly off topic....you know that movie with Mel Gibson where he slams his dislocated shoulder against the wall to pop it back into place?I had to do that tonight,it hurt like a mother *****er,kids dont try this at home.feels better now.....

Sorry about your shoulder, Real. My brother dislocated his shoulder years ago when the doctors were on strike, and it stayed dislocated for five hours. He had to have surgery on it, eventually. You did the right thing.

I'm sorry to see Brockman go too, Woody. He's better off with more playing time, but man. I loved that player. He has real ones.

It wasn't me that said I was sorry to see him go. I did like his grit, though. Like another columnist wrote, the fact that Brockman was traded just goes to show how much better the Kings have become.

It is a bit sad to see a guy like Brockman go. If others like him are "sparkplugs" - he's a nuclear reactor.

But Brock would take minutes from other guys - specifically Whiteside. Hassan has an immeasurably higher upside. And he is already set to be one of the best shot blockers in the league.

Moves like this are definitely signs that the Kings are on their way back.
