De’Aaron’s big night not enough, Kings fall 128-123

De’Aaron Fox dropped a career-high 43 points, but the Sacramento Kings could not stop Zion Williamson as the New Orleans Pelicans came away with a 128-123 victory Sunday night at the Golden 1 Center. The loss was the third-straight for the Kings and dropped them to a season-low 5-9 record.

Fox hit 17-of27 shots, dished out 13 assists, grabbed four rebounds, and snagged four steals for the night., but it was all for not as the Kings continued to struggle on the defensive end of the court as they allowed another 120+ point night.

Sacramento has allowed 30+ points by their opponents in each of the last 12 quarters of action, and they currently have the NBA’s worst defensive rating.

As the G1C has not been kind to the Kings of late, it will be nice to get back out on the road and away from all those creepy cardboard cutouts in the arena as they travel south to face off again with the Los Angeles Clippers. They then return for a quick one-game set with the New York Knicks, before heading off on a six-game road trip in the southeast.
