Just not enough 3s in Big D, Kings fall to Mavs 99-105

The Sacramento Kings were clearly spooked by all the ghosts and goblins sitting in the stands at the American Airlines Center Sunday afternoon. The team came into the contest averaging nearly 13 made 3-pointers per game on 37 shots (34%), but on this frightening afternoon, the good guys were just 7-for-37 (19.4%) as they fell to the Dallas mavericks 99-105.

Dallas scored 15 more points on threes, and that was your Halloween game recap in a pumpkin.

Richaun Holmes had his usual stellar performance finishing with 22 points and 13 rebounds, but the rest of the starters where a combined 16-50 from the field. The shots just were not falling.

Sacramento will close out their 4-game road trip with a very tough contest Tuesday when they visit the Utah jazz. The Kings played them close back on October 22 before stumbling late in the game. If they can pull out the victory, it would make this road trip an unqualified success.
